The Governance of China (Xi Jinping, 2014) has been published in Chinese, English and Portuguese (spoken in Brazil), by the Foreign Languages Press (Beijing). This book is a compilation of Xi Jinping's major works from November 15, 2012 to June 13, 2014; it comprises 79 speeches, talks, interviews, instructions and correspondence in 18 chapters. Each item is accompanied by relevant notes about China's social system, history and culture for readers' reference.

The book covers major topics of Chinese politics, and contain 45 pictures of the President XI in his daily life. Nevertheless, I would like to recommend the following chapters: Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, Economic Development (in particular the chapter allocated to revolutionize energy production and consumption), Social Undertakings (in particular the chapter allocated to building China into a cyberpower), Ecological Progress, Multilateral Relations, Neighborhood Diplomacy, and New Model of Major-country Relations (in particular the chapter allocated to new approach for Asian security cooperation).

The book in not merely worth to read, it is indeed, a standing reference to understand People’s Republic of China and its current transformation process. Furthermore, the book is available in the USJ library.
